  • How much can a home insulation project cost?

We base our estimates on current R-Value, Insulation Type, and Square Footage of the project. As well as Air Sealing or Ventilation.

A home estimate is the only way to get an accurate cost.

  • How can I tell the type of insulation in my dwelling?

    - Fiberglass can be in either Pink, White, or Yellow. ( R - Value of 2.5 per inch)

-Cellulose is recycled, dusty, paper-like material. Normally gray or beige in color.  (R - Value of 3.7 - 4.3 per inch)

    - Vermiculite is a textured substance golden foam pebbles blended with rock fibers. This is 80% likely to be contaminated with harmful asbestos.

    - Spray Foam is a mixture of closed cell chemicals that hardens and becomes rigid. It has the highest R-Value per inch. And is excellent in its Air Sealing capabilities.

    - Foam Board is an excellent insulating material. It comes in many colors and is flat and sheet like.

  • What type of insulation is best?

Cellulose is best in attics, interior walls, exterior walls, and most excellent for sound dampening.

  • What is an R-Value?

The capacity of an insulating material to resist heat flow. The higher the R-Value equals the greater insulating power. This leads to a higher amount of Energy Efficiency as a whole.

  • What should your R-value be?

IN - R-Value of 38 is state code in your Attic.

R-60 is recommended for colder climates.  As well as R-Value of 14  in a typical 2'x4' wall.

    R-Value of 19 for 2'x6' wall. R-Value of 15 or higher for a crawlspace.

IL - R-Value of 49 is state code in your Attic. R-60 is recommended for colder climates.  As well as R Value of 14 in a typical 2'x4' wall.  R-Value of 19 for 2'x6' wall. R-Value of 15 or higher for a crawlspace.
